Out in Africa Gay and Lesbian Film Festival

The Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is around the corner, again... and we are very excited because there is a fabulous line up. And a fabulous array of programme covers - 8 of them - but the inside pages are all the same, so don't be confused.

So, the website is up and the programmes are printed and will be out in Nu Metro cinemas, The Bioscope, The Foxy On Broadway, Exclusive Books, bars and clubs shortly.
Visit the website regularly as we'll have updates on screenings and events.

News items are...

Clicks card holders are eligible for a maximum of 2 discounted cinema tickets per day. The Clicks price is R25 - plus points.
Half-price Wednesdays are open to all. Tickets are R20. Swipe your Clicks card and receive points.
Momentum policy holders are eligible for discounts, which are determined by the type of policy individuals hold.

Tickets for these screenings are only available through OIA and are not available at the cinemas or through any booking service. OIA will give preference to its 8333 paid-up members - those who donate a minimum annual sum of R240 to OIA. Once we have taken all those requests and if there are tickets left over, we shall open up bookings, but you will still have to contact Lisa Mini to book.

We have 2 parties in CT...

Friday 29th October is the Halloween Cin Party powered by Cintron, at Lazari's in Green Point. This event is intended to raise funds for CT Pride. Donations at the door. There will be various prizes for the 'Best Outfit', Most imaginative Costume' and for the 'Best Matched Couple'.

The Festival Grand Finale - sundowners at The Grand Cafe and Beach, Cape Town chicest hangout - is on Sunday 7 November between 4.30pm and 7pm. Delicious eats from The Grand's kitchen and cocktails will be served. This is an invite only event and priority will be given to Out In Africa's 8333 members - those who donate a minimum annual sum of R240 to OIA. If you want to be on the guests list, or guarantee your seat at any of the Free Screenings, become an 8333 member. Contact Lisa Mini for details.

An invitation-only Soirée for over 100 people, in honour of the Festival and hosted by the US Consul.

Festival Guest Luncheon for 30 or more at 6 Spin Street. Owner Robert Mulders is a long term sponsor of the Festival. Under his patronage we have had countless splendid meals at Rozenhof. This will be our first at Robert's new restaurant.

Best wishes
OIA Team
