Short term Mentorship on Travel Documentary Series

Short Terms Regional Mentorship Opportunity for Travel Documentary

Established Documentary Production Company, Underdog Productions via its special purpose company Hound Films are looking for a selection of regionally based people to fill EIGHT remaining short term mentorship positions as part of its "Puppy Project" on a new Television Documentary show. The series entitled Rough or Smooth is also being produced in Afrikaans as Rof of Spog, and is an adventurous and sophisticated 13 part documentary series exploring Southern Africa and its history, geography, traditions and cultures. Well known TV personalities and old friends, Paul Du Toit (preferring the rough and adventurous side of life) and Terence Bridgett (preferring a smoother luxurious experience) guide audiences on a journey to some of the most remarkable and eclectic places and show the very different sides to the same destinations.

We are looking for one person in each of the following locations (some of which are in neighbouring countries):

Tzaneen (Limpopo) 2-6 July 2011
Kruger Park Area (Mpumalanga) 6-10 July 2011
Clarens & Afriski (Free State / Lesotho) 6-10 August 2011
Garden Route (Knysna) 1-4 October 2011
Cederberg (Ceries to Bushmans Kloof) 6-9 October 2011
Namibia (Swakopmund) 16-20 December 2011
Mozambique (Maputo) 07-11 January 2012
Kosi Bay (KZN) 12-15 January 2012

We are looking for a young (18-up), enthusiastic and passionate person who is located in each of these areas and preferably someone who is interested in the Film and Television industry and is looking to learn and experience being on a small but professional TV Documentary set. They will be required to know the area well, and will be required to help on set as an assistant/runner. They will be paid a minimal fee to cover their transport etc, and will be provided with meals while on set.

The person will be required to meet the crew at the call times given, some of which might be early, and the team may wrap up late. Therefore they must have their own reliable transport to and from location or the hotel where the rest of the team are staying. They do not need to have experience in the production field but must have the desire to learn as this opportunity will be a great experience for them.

For those who are interested please contact:
